Fundraising Events

 

1.  PLEASE HELP!  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FUNDRIAISNG EVENT AT Bridge County Raceway  - July 17, 2010, 4 pm to 10 pm. 

Volunteers arrive at 4 pm (rides available).  Some of the volunteers will be working the concession and some will be selling 50/50 tickets in pairs.  Fourteen volunteers are needed for the event.  We will probably be finished around 10 or 10:30. As compensation for its participation, PAW will receive 50% of the 50/50 draw. Call PAW's Fundraising Director, Joan, at 403-732-5708

 

2.  BARBECUE (smoky & a pop) – August 7, 2010

Save-On Foods - 11 am - 4 pm.  For a couple of bucks, you can enjoy a nice lunch and support PAW too! If you can help with the barbecuing part, please give PAW a call. 

 

3.  BOTTLE RECYCLING (ongoing) - Donate on an ongoing basis to PAW by taking your returnable bottles, cans and plastic milk jugs to either location of the Rehabilitation Society of Southwestern Alberta.  Just ask that your bottle money be put on the PAW Society’s account and a monthly cheque is sent to PAW.

4. USED BOOK SALE (annual) - September 16 (evening), 17 & 18, 2010
Centre Village Mall (Zellers) – main concourse. 

Drop off used books on Thursday evening, 5 - 8:30 pm and Friday am. 

 

5. PASTA DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION - October 23, 2010

St. Augustine's Church - more details to follow.  Volunteers needed!

 

6. BAKE SALE (annual) - November 20, 2010 
Centre Village Mall – main concourse.
Drop off donated baked goodies between 9 am & 11 am
Bake sale runs until sold out!

 

7. SANTA PAW’s PARTY (annual) - TBA - December, 2010
Wish List:  cash donations, California Natural Chicken & Rice Dry Cat Food, GO Natural Grain-Free Dry Cat Food, Wellness canned food, Precise canned food, Feline Fresh Pine Litter

 

8.  HEARTS FOR RESCUE PENDANTS - Click here for details on these beautiful lampwork Murano glass pendants, each handmade by artist, Julie Meisser, in support of animal rescue.  Proceeds go to the PAW Society cats. These pendants make beautiful gifts for those who appreciate and love cats.

 

9.  EPICURE SPICES - PAW's Fundraising Director is a representative for Epicure Spices and donates a portion of her commissions to the PAW Society.  For more information, please contact us or call Joan at 403-732-5708.

 

10. POOL TOURNAMENT AND SILENT AUCTION (annual) - TBA - February, 2011  Shotz Billiard Club and Lounge, 1120 – 2 Avenue South, Lethbridge

11.  GARAGE SALE (annual) - The 2010 garage sale was a great success! A big thank-you to those that donated household items and another big thank-you to those who came and shopped.  PAW's volunteer fundraising team did a fantastic job.  Watch for next year's garage sale time and location.
