Ren

Ren
Color: DLH Black & White
Age: Born approx. April 30, 2007
Gender: Neutered Male
History:
In June, 2007, five young kittens and a mother cat (later named Alberta Rose) were found in the coulees. It is likely the mom had been abandoned in the late stages of her pregnancy. All kittens and the mom found adoptive homes through PAW. We were thrilled when, at three months of age, Ren and Charlie were adopted into the same home. But after being in that adoptive home for a year and a half, they were returned to PAW for reasons that did not have anything to do with the cats.
Personality:
If you are a person that can relate to a cat a little on the shy side, you are who Ren needs. We know he has the capacity to form a loving bond which, quite simply, takes as long as it takes (but with the right person, we don't think it will take very long). In fact, in Ren's most recent foster home, he has blossomed! When his environment feels safe, Ren likes to sleep on the bed, preferring to be right in the middle. He loves to have his chest gently stroked (in fact he will lay still for as long as you can handle doing it!). His foster dad often sees Ren playing, preferring the furry little mice and zooming through a cat tunnel. Like any cat that may initially present as shy, Ren needs a peaceful room to start out and time to observe and get to know you. Spend as much time as you can with him initially. As you can see below, he enjoyed a relaxed relationship with a former foster family's dog (that would be the blonde he's using for a foot rest). Ren also integrated quickly with the two resident cats in his foster home.
