Keetka

Keetka

Keetka (Keith)
DSH Light Grey Tabby
Born May 1, 2002
Neutered Male

History:
Keetka (sometimes called Keith) was rescued by an individual in 2002 when he was a little stray kitten. A year later, his person adopted a cat named Pumpkin from PAW. When their person moved into subsidized housing in the fall of 2009 and couldn't take her cats with her, the PAW Society took Pumpkin. Because there were no other options for Keetka, PAW took him too. It seemed the right thing to do. As there is a chronic shortage of foster homes, Pumpkin and Keetka had to be placed in separate homes. They can be adopted separately or together. If you are looking to adopt two cats, they would make a nice choice because they have lived together companionably for six years. They are both great cats.

Personality:
After spending a couple of days under the bed in his foster home, Keetka came out of his shell and stayed out! He loves people and greets all visitors to his new temporary home. He even felt confident enough to leap into one visitor's arms as she was preparing to leave. He, like Pumpkin, likes to snuggle high on your chest with his front legs draped over your shoulder. He is an active, happy, affectionate cat. He bounds around the apartment, plays in and around his cat condo and likes to sit at the window (his foster home is a second floor apartment so his view of the outdoors is perfect). He offers his tummy for gentle rubs and often drools out of sheer contentment. His foster mom says he has good manners, uses his scratching post and stays off the counters (so far!). At night time, he likes to snuggle up in bed, close to his foster mom. Keetka is a little gem.
