Keetka
ADOPTED
Keetka
Description: DSH Light Grey Tabby
Age: Adult
Gender: Neutered Male
History:
An individual rescued Keetka as a little stray kitten and then decided to keep him. A year later, his person adopted a cat named Pumpkin from PAW. When she moved into subsidized housing in the fall of 2009 and couldn't take her cats with her, the PAW Society took Pumpkin back. Because there were no other options for Keetka (other than taking him to the city pound), PAW took him too. It seemed the right thing to do. As there is a chronic shortage of foster homes, Pumpkin and Keetka had to be placed in separate homes. Both have done very well in their respective foster homes.
Personality:
After spending almost a year in one foster home, Keetka had to be moved to a new one in August, 2010, because of a move. Seems to be the story of his life! Keetka continues to be a person-cat, preferring the company of humans over felines. That's not to say he doesn't do well with other cats. In fact, he gets along very well with them. But if you are looking for a playmate for your cat, Keetka may not be the one. On the other hand, if you are looking for a cat that won't necessarily need a relationship with your cat, Keetka would be perfect. He also does just fine as a single cat. From time to time, he likes to ride on your shoulders (but he's kind of big for that). Or sometimes, he likes to snuggle up high on your chest with his front legs draped over your shoulder. Suffice it to say, he likes to be close to his person. He is an active, happy, affectionate cat that adapts quickly to new situations. He is always busy doing something, scooting around his toys, exploring closets, running through his foster home, making up games in and around his cat condo or watching the outside world through a window. He loves to sit in a cardboard box, no matter how small it may be. He offers his tummy for gentle rubs and will drool contentedly. His foster mom says he has good manners, uses his scratching post and stays off the counters. At night time, he likes to snuggle up in bed, close to his foster mom (if there's room). Please help PAW find a home for this little gem of a cat -- one where his family will take him along no matter where they move to!
