Charlie

ADOPTION PENDING
Charlie
Color: DLH Black & White
Age: Born approx. April 30, 2007
Gender: Neutered Male
History:
Charlie was first adopted from PAW when he was a “juvie” kitten – about three and a half months old. He and his one week old siblings had been found abandoned in the coulees, along with their mom, Alberta Rose. All were rescued by PAW. In August, 2007, we thought this would be Charlie's permanent home when he was adopted along with his brother, Ren. Unfortunately, the adopters returned both cats to PAW in March, 2009, for reasons that were never made clear. Ren has since been adopted and Charlie is in a foster home while he awaits a permanent family to choose him.
Personality:
Charlie likes to hang out with his foster mom. During the night, if she is laying on her side, Charlie gently places his paws on her hip. He likes to have her all to himself (like most cats do) but he gets along just fine with all the pets in the household, including the dogs. If it gets too crowded on the bed, he moves to the floor, but remains on foster mom's side. When she sprinkles catnip on the scratching post, Charlie really goes at it! He is both lovable and loving and especially enjoys following foster mom around, chatting with her or even better if she grabs a string toy and plays with him. In general, Charlie has a very nice personality and is a gentle big boy. Charlie will feel shy for awhile in a new home. But shy cats are usually the ones that develop very tight bonds with their person. Once they trust, they are yours forever.
Charlie is shown here snoozing with one of the foster family's resident cats, Princess, once a PAW cat herself. You can see that Charlie is a good-sized boy. His toes are almost touching those of one of the family dogs.
