PAW --> Available Adult Cats --> "Monty"

Name: Monty Color: DMH White and Tabby Age: Born May 12, 2005 Gender: Neutered Male History: Monty was returned (in a panic) because of bladder issues. He had been adopted through PAW as a young kitten in 2005. There's never an issue of PAW not accepting a returned cat, but having to act within a couple of hours to make that happen is very difficult on us. In his adoptive home, Monty had had a couple of urinary tract infections, but to us and to our vet, that was no reason to give up on him. When a cat is having bladder problems, one must be committed to making changes in the cat's life that will help him through a health crisis like this one. Monty may be a cat that is quite sensitive and stress is very much a contributor to bladder problems. Cats are also masters at hiding unwellness, until a behaviour like litter box avoidance occurs. Monty also had a sebaceous cyst under his left eye that needed immediate attention. It was surgically removed as soon as we got him back. Personality: Would you agree this boy is just plain gorgeous? Monty also has a very sweet personality that we are just beginning to discover. He has worked his way into all the hearts of the PAW people and we are committed to finding him the right home. It is unlikely that a pet will go through its life with no health or behavioural issues. That is what being a responsible pet owner is all about -- going the distance with your pet! Monty is on a vet food that is specific for cats with crystals in their urine. Because he is on a special diet, he must spend his nights in one of the isolation rooms at the centre, but this sweet little guy pretty much puts himself to bed when it's that time of day. What a good boy!
