PAW --> Available Adult Cats --> "Josie"

Name: Josie Color: DSH Black Age: Born Approx. June 2005 Gender: Spayed Female. History: Josie and her kittens were found living in a shed when the kittens were very young. A person in the neighbourhood began feeding them, and they became a managed feral colony. “Managed Colony” means that someone is providing food, water and shelter for the stray cats in the area, most of which are usually unsocialized to people. When the kittens were approximately nine weeks old, they were placed in foster homes. Josie was trapped, spayed and released back to the area, as it was believed she was feral (unsocialized). Over the next few weeks, she began to allow the caretaker to come close and eventually pet her! Once it was realized that she was at least partially socialized to people, she was placed in a foster home.
Personality: When Josie first was brought in from outside, it was thought that she was partially socialized to people but would need many weeks of adjustment before she would be ready for her forever home. Within thirty seconds, she had proved us wrong! From the moment she was released from the kennel, she simply could not get enough love. When she is stroked, she flops onto her side and rolls on the floor to soak up as much attention as she can. Josie has made the adjustment to being an indoor cat with no difficulty, and like most cats brought in from the street, shows no interest in returning to that difficult and dangerous life. She is currently being fostered with other cats and enjoys their company. She is still quite young and also quite playful. At night, her favourite place to sleep is next to her person.
Pet me, pet me, pet me!
