PAW --> Available Adult Cats --> "Indy"![]()
Name: Indy Color: DMH Black Age: Born Approx. Oct. 15, 2007 Gender: Spayed Female. History: A little feral mom (unsocialized to people) was being fed in a garage along with her four kittens. The caregiver tried to keep them contained within the garage (with the intention of getting the mom spayed) but unfortunately, the mom escaped. All attempts to find her failed. This event happened just as winter came upon us, late in 2007. There really was no other choice but to bring the kittens indoors and begin their socialization process. Indy is petite and very pretty. Her medium length fur has a lovely healthy gloss to it. She is very clean and uses her scratching post. Personality: Indy is still a little bit shy. She took a turn in the adoption room at PAW's Petcetera location and after a month, made great progress. Her PAW friends decided to give her a temporary reward for being such a brave little cat and placed her in a foster home where she has the exclusive attention of three young women. Indy is very curious about people and is can usually be found quietly observing all the daily activities that fill a home. She sometimes backs away when approached, but once she is in your arms, she relaxes and enjoys the closeness. Indy is very comfortable around other cats. Gaining the full trust of a little cat like Indy is an extremely gratifying process. She needs a person that will dedicate time every day to building a bond with her. Playtime is a relatively easy and especially fun way to bring a little cat along. A couple of fifteen minute play sessions every day go a long way to creating a safe and loving environment in which Indy can blossom. She is already well aware of what is involved with play time! She especially enjoys teasers, string toys and a cat tunnel that she can pop in and out of.
