PAW --> Available Adult Cats --> "Casey"![]()
Meet me at the Cat Compassion Centre! Name: Casey Color: DSH Solid Charcoal Gray Age: Born Feb. 15, 2001 Gender: Spayed Female History: Casey originally came to the PAW Society in July, 2001, directly from the city pound. She was just a youngster then, about six months old; a little shy, thin, but otherwise healthy. Shortly thereafter, her foster mom decided to adopt her. Much to our disappointment, Casey was returned to us in May, 2006, after being in that home for almost five years. Even though she had been well loved, the attachment was temporary. We try very hard to teach people that adopting a pet is for the rest of the pet's life. Casey was returned because of a move. With enough determination, places to rent with your pets can be found! www.homefinders.ca has a listing of rental places that accept pets.Personality: Sometimes while a PAW foster cat waits for their turn to come into the Compassion Centre, they get moved around quite a bit. Perhaps a foster family is going on a long holiday or moving away altogether. Suffice it to say, Casey got bounced around a lot over the past year, five times to be exact! Says her most recent foster mom, "Tummy rubs are a particular favourite, but not on the first date....she's a lady! Casey never intrudes, waiting politely to be invited to eat or cuddle. She loves to chase a laser light, enjoys catnip mice, but most of all seems to love to be around people. With her little voice and quiet ways, she fits smoothly into home routines. This affectionate little girl will quickly wrap herself around your heart, especially when she gazes at you with those big green eyes." Casey is currently at the Cat Compassion Centre where she's never before lived with so many cats. Although she copes as best she can, we can tell it is difficult for her to relax and enjoy her temporary life there. This beautiful charcoal gray girl with the silky soft fur is waiting for her special someone to take her home, love her completely, accept her unconditionally and celebrate the many little baby steps it may take before Casey realizes that love can last forever. ![]()
